NEEDS Lip Gloss

If Amelia could dress herself everyday, her outfits would look like this…

But with more bracelets.

Amelia picks out her own clothes now and demands to wear accessories and more accessories. She looks like a toddler Betsey Johnson which I LOVE.

Her school is asking us to bring in one toy to donate to a child in need. I decided to have her pick it out herself. After explaining, that some kids don’t have a lot of toys and we should help them by donating she screamed, “And they don’t have lip gloss! They NEED Lip gloss.” After, I told her the charity would prefer to not get lip gloss she asked to buy the children high heels, tutus, sunglasses, bracelets, and purses. We eventually compromised on a necklace making set with wooden beads that I am really hoping the charity excepts because I am really proud of Amelia for showing so much concern about someone other than herself… even if she was only concerned about whether or not these kids have enough glitter lip gloss. It’s a start!

I concur Amelia. Every little girl should have lots of glitter lip gloss and bracelets. 🙂

Oh the days when glitter lips gloss was the most important thing in life…some of us never outgrow that. Her sense of style is awesome! I hope she stays carefree and independent in her fashion choices.

She took on that charity task very well. And it’s wonderful her parents involved her at such a young age…and hopefully every year in the future she’ll want to donate something to help others. A beautiful tradition!
