#NaBloPoMo What?!?!?!?!?

So it’s 9pm on day 2 of #NaBloPoMo and I am already struggling to get something posted on my blog once a day. Today was a good example of my dilemma.

I had a wonderful day with my daughter filled with cuddles, park time, tea parties, crafts, and laundry. From 6am to 8pm, I was taking care of her and loving it. Then 8:30pm rolled around and I was like

NaBloPoMo What?!?!?!?!?!

blogging
I love spending time with my daughter. I really do but motherhood leaves me with no free time during the day to write. At night, I am exhausted and it can be hard to focus.

I could stick her in front of the TV and try to write but I don’t think that would work and since she’s in school all day during the week so I like to be able to spend time a lot with her on the weekends.

On days where I have just one hour to be alone and write I am so much more productive. As I sat down to write I found myself thinking negatively and getting down on myself for waiting until the last minute but then I remembered how useless that is.

Instead, I will get excited for the week ahead where my daughter will be in school and I will have time to write!

Hey there, I found you via the NaBloPoMo blogroll.

One thing I do is schedule posts in advance, so that when I do have time to write I can really let loose and write. So if you have time on weekdays, schedule in your weekend posts and then come Friday, forget about the blog until Monday. 🙂

As part of NaBloPoMo I try to comment on as many participating blogs as I can, and I add participating blogs to my feed reader.

So I’m just dropping by to let you know I’ve added your blog to my feedreader, I’m reading you loud and clear, I have a link up going at my place so my readers can find participating blogs which you are more than welcome to add your blog link to.

Looking forward to seeing your posts, and you’ll likely see me drop by again during November.

    Happy NaBloPoMo to you!

Don’t be too harsh with yourself! Signing um to #NaBloPoMo is a good opportunity to get back into the saddle – it doesn’t mean you have to write a big article every day! The time spent with your daughter is much more important!!

True Uli… but even if it’s a picture I want to post something once a day because I think it’s a good excursive…. but we will see how I feel during Thanksgiving break lol

Maybe you could make it activity time for the both of you? Keep her busy with some crafty activity while you write? That way you get to spend time with her AND write..

And maybe, you can plan ahead. Get a few extra drafts planned just to have them for those weekends or Thanksgicing when time just ceases to exist.

Two days down, twenty-right to go!

I think I am going to plan some posts ahead now that she’s back in school!

Don’t be so hard on yourself, what is it they say about best laid plans? You could always do outfits what was worn that day, just trying to give you ideas

Thanks for the ideas. So good to hear from you!

Thanks for responding, I echo what was previously said about time with your family being much more important, your kids will grow up and you’ll miss these days. Will try to give other ideas, suggestions, and encouragement, you can do what you wish.
