We went to a place in New Jersey and when we arrived we were welcomed with pancakes, horses, animals to feed, a bouncy house, pony rides, hay rides, and a wine tasting. There was so much to do we almost forgot about the whole apple picking thing!
After we did all the none apple picking activities it was time to pick some apples which was surprisingly very exhausting. We pulled Amelia through the fields in a wagon while we looked for tomatoes, eggplants, apples, blueberries, and raspberries. Amelia loved every minute of it but it was a chore doing this and I even got a sunburn. Half way through I wanted to gloat about all the fruit we had picked. I looked in the wagon and our blueberries and raspberries were missing. Then I looked up at Amelia’s face and they were covered in blueberries and raspberries. What a stinker! While we were working hard she was literally eating the fruits of our labor!
Oh well, we had fun bidding farewell to summer and have the sunburns to prove it.
