A’s 1st Haircut!

A's 1st haircut!
Last week, the time finally came to cut A’s hair. She is 3 1/2 and her hair has always looked wonderful so we didn’t see the need to cut it. But after a summer of sun and swimming the ends were really dry and she had one section that was way longer than the other. She also wants to grow her hair out and many moms warned me that if you never cut curly hair it may get so tangly that you will eventually have to cut it all off. So we made the decision to cut her hair.

We decided to go to a place exclusively for kids as opposed to a place that does adults as well. I am glad we did because it made our daughter very happy… just look at her laughing in the picture above!

After talking to many Manhattan moms we decided to go to Cozy’s Salon. Amelia has been using their products for years and everyone we talk to raves about their experience. Amelia was in heaven the second she entered the salon. She got to sit in the a car chair, watch Dora, and the hairdresser put a “big-girl braid” in her hair!

As a mom, I love Cozy’s because the haircut was FAST! Also, the hairdresser gave me lots of tips on caring for my daughter’s curly hair. At the end A got a lollipop, diploma, and balloon. Amelia can’t wait for her next haircut and I am relieved that her first haircut was such a wonderful experience.

Thank you Cozy’s for making our daughter’s first haircut such an easy and memorable experience!

    That’s so AWESOME!!!
I’m glad she a great experience her first time around…
It makes going the following times easier…
Ian’s first few times were easy, the hairdresser was great, but he wasn’t having anything to do with it…
I went to school with his hairdresser so I trusted her completely and she cuts my oldest sons hair and my BF’s hair as well.
The Barber Shop is a well renowned shop in town and has been there for years.
They gave him a diploma, a lock of his hair, balloon and a lollipop as well. :0)
They even have a great train for him to watch go around the track after his haircut.

I love A’s haircut and her smile is priceless…

How adorable! She’s just growing up, isn’t she. I’m glad she had a great experience…a lot of little ones freak out and she’s just loving it.

PS…please share those tips. My oldest has VERY curly hair now and I need help!
