So about a year ago I deleted a ton of Facebook friends on my personal page. Amelia was starting school and I wanted to have some privacy for her and her new school friends. It seemed like a good idea and I deleted everyone I hadn’t met face to face.
But what I didn’t realize is that if you are on Facebook it’s really hard to be on it halfway. First, it was hard to delete everyone. I missed some people that I don’t know in my day to day life. When I realized this I felt bad deleting some of the other people.
Also, people kept finding me and friend requesting me so I felt horrible saying no and sometimes accepted them… even people I hadn’t met in life which went against my original rule of “only people I have met”.
The other reason I don’t like what I did is that I am not blogging as much as I used to so people I have grown close to over the years don’t get to see as many pictures of Amelia. The mean people that I wanted to protect myself and my daughter from are still able to say mean things even after I deleted them so basically my whole plan was worthless.
So if you miss being my Facebook friend feel free to request me again. I will accept. Sorry for deleting you.
