Last week, my daughter was limping when she went to school. I asked if she wanted to stay home and she said no so I assumed it fell asleep or she slept on it wrong.
When I picked her up at school her teacher’s said they had tried to figure out what was wrong with her but had no idea. I was about to visit her pediatrician when we walked by a shoe store and the manager asked to measure Amelia’s feet. On a normal day I would have ignored him but I was desperate for answers and took her into the store. He measured her feet and said her shoes were a full size too small. We picked out a nice pair of shoes and then Amelia magically started walking without a limp.
I felt horrible that I didn’t realize she was uncomfortable because her shoes were too small. It just never crossed my mind. Amelia got really upset that she couldn’t wear here old shoes anymore… even after picking out a fancy new pair. So we decided to save the shoes for her baby cousin. This made her feel a lot better.
It’s just crazy to me how fast kids grow up. I can’t believe how tall my daughter is and that now she now wears a size 9 shoe.
