I didn’t take Princess A on a plane ride until she was 9 months old because I was scared to fly with her. Then on her first flight she proved that my fears were correct by crying the whole time. So I only traveled when I was bribed by other people paying my airfare.

On our recent trip to Kansas, Princess A proved to be an expert traveler. She has grown up so much and made me very proud! On all the flights she slept, colored, or watched Olivia. She didn’t cry or get motion sickness. Part of this also has to do with the expert advice I received from all my readers. (Thank you to whoever recommended the sea-bands) So thank you for reading and offering me advice. It is much appreciated.

On our way back from Kansas, our flight home was canceled do to a mechanical failure. I was so upset because it was Christmas Eve and I wanted to be home in New York City with my husband and dog. It wasn’t Airtran’s fault because they couldn’t fly with a broken plane but I was still royally pissed off. The pilot of the plane came out and apologized to everyone but I didn’t care. All I wanted was to be with my family.

In the end, I got a flight with Delta and made it home in time for Christmas. Airtran refunded me for my flight and sent us 2 free round trip tickets to wherever we want. Now that I have cooled off I would like to thank Airtran for handling the situation so well. It wasn’t safe to fly with a broken plane but I am sure your employees didn’t feel safe having to deal with a bunch of angry customers on Christmas Eve. There was nothing you could do but everyone was still screaming and crying. The pilot didn’t have to come out and personally apologize to every passenger but he did. You didn’t have to refund me so I could buy a ticket on another plane but you did. You also didn’t have to send me vouchers for free airfare but you did. I have had the same thing happen to me on other airlines on Christmas and they didn’t do anything to make up for it. So thank you Airtran!

Now that Princess A is an expert traveler and we have free round trip tickets where should we go?
