I can’t believe they touched my puppy!

Since I am way behind on blog postings you all know how this story ends. I took Princess A to Freckles’ routine check up. He also had to get a vaccination. I thought she would like this because she has her own zoo and loves dogs.

Boy, was I wrong. She hated everything about it and started crying the second they put Freckles on the scale. Freckles was smiling the whole time because he loves the nurses and the liver treats so it was odd to see my baby who wasn’t getting pocked with needles crying.

animal-hospital-park-east-2 (1) Our vet has a daughter around the same age as Princess A so she explained everything before she touched Freckles. This didn’t work because Princess A slapped and bit her when she tried to give Freckles his vaccinations. Then she threw herself on the ground and screamed, “MY PUPPY!” Of course, Freckles just sat there grinning and enjoying the attention from the nurses.

animal-hospital-park-east-3 (1) I really thought Princess A would like the vet. Oh well! When the appointment was over Princess A was still upset. She loves bags so a nurse gave her one and let her pick out informative dog care pamphlets to take home. This cheered her right up. She sat in the waiting room while I payed and read her pamphlets.

This story cracks me up! I even told my parents and they cracked up too. Kids are just so wonderful and overreact so easily! There is no telling what she thought the vet was doing.

True… I wish I could have explained it to her. I think under normal circumstances she would like the vet!

I do remember this story. It was so funny. I felt so dang bad for you though, I remember those days. That coat is too cute.

Thanks Katie. I felt bad for the vet but at least she thought it was funny.

I love that she is so protective of her puppy! My kids still can’t watch Guinness get his needles. They look the other way. I am glad the vet thought it was funny too!
I love her winter coat! It is so cute!

Thanks Karen. I think I will leave her at home next time.
