The show included The Hungry Caterpillar, Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?, and Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me. These are three of Princess A’s favorite books so she was very excited and did the happy dance. These pictures are blurry but I am sharing them because they show how fast Princess A’s foot work is.
The show was an hour long and there was time at the end for kid’s to ask the puppeteers questions.
The puppets were glow in the dark and it was breathtaking. It’s hard for me to explain what it looked like so I have included a video at the end.
My favorite part was how they treated the kids. In the beginning they said that there is a “No SHHHHHING” policy during the show and kids should feel free to shout the words to the books. Every time I found myself trying to get Princess A to be quiet I stopped myself and allowed her to say hi to every single one of the puppets.
Princess A screamed “WOAH!” over and over again. She just couldn’t get enough of the puppets. The only time she got upset was when she tried to get on the stage to pet them “Nice” and I had to grab her.
When the show was over Princess A decided it was time to run around the theater.
The best part is this show is on tour right now so you can see it as well! Check out the Mermaid Theater of Nova Scotia’s website for tour dates and more information.
I love that you can hear in the video how much the kids love this show.
