The parks and playgrounds in New York City are still closed because there are fallen trees and flooding everywhere. While this is a smart and safe decision it is hard on the parents. The children of New York haven’t been to the playgrounds in FOUR WHOLE DAYS! Who cares about no electricity when you can’t go on a swing. Mayor Bloomberg needs to stop working on electricity and start working on opening up the parks because whenever Princess A or other kids see a playground the point and scream.

Wild Child

These pictures were taken last week when the parks were still open.

Princess A had a tough day and was fighting me on everything. By the end of the day she really wanted to play in the mud and I let her because I had been frying bigger fish all day so to speak.

My feet are dirty… YES!

She had so much fun playing in the mud but all the other parents looked at me like I was crazy.

Leaves and Mud?!?!?!?! I am so lucky!

I don’t really care if Princess A gets dirty so when she wants to play with dirt I let her. I feel like I should save my fighting energy for when she is a teenager and wants to do actual dangerous things.

Besides playing in the mud also makes her very sleepy 🙂

Mud is easy and I think parents have forgotten that kids are washable. They always fuss about them messing up their clothes, but they only get to wear them a couple times before they grow out of them.Chocolate, mud, and the rest of the ooey, gooey things kids love are learning tools. I say let her play and then have a fun bathtime to get it all off!

I agree! Except for chocolate because Freckles would lick it up before I got to clean it

I can believe it. Charlie punched me with his paw trying to get my fun sized hershey bar last night. In my sore jaw too. I did NOT give up the chocolate though. Some things are sacred.

Chocolate is sacred… and anyway it’s bad for dogs. but sometimes I think a human made that up so they wouldn’t have to share chocolate with their dog.

Would not surprise me!!!! Lol, chocolate is what makes the world go around. Not that other bs. If there was no chocolate, Katie would be a sad Katie. Thank God the kids got me some last night lmao
