LITERARY FASHION: OLIVIA ALL GROWN UP

I had so much fun creating this collection inspired by Olivia and the Fairy Princesses
by Ian Falconer.

So Olivia

I found myself thinking, “This red is not Olivia enough!” and “That is so Olivia!” In this collection the clothes are inspired by what I think Olivia would wear when she grows up.

olivia 1 I imagine her being an avant garde artist living in the village of NYC. She does a lot of thrifting but also has a ton of expensive pieces. She gets them as gifts from her many admirers. This collection is filled with, red, black, and white. It is minimalistic because Olivia needs simple chic clothes that don’t distract from her colorful personality.

I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I did creating it. I feel like doing another kid’s book this week because they make me happy. So next week’s collection will be inspired by Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar .

Expect tons of colors, butterflies, and food!!!

Stay Glamorous,

Shannon Sutherland
