Count the Puppies

Princess A has a new obsession. She loves her Little Golden Book 101 Dalmations. She loves it so much she sits and stares at the pictures for almost an hour. We might even let her watch the movie. I should have known my daughter would love a book about 101 dogs. My favorite part of her new love is that she opens the book, points, and says puppy to each and every puppy. This is why it occupies her for so long and why I love the book. Thank you Disney for putting so many puppies in 101 Dalmations!

Let her watch the cartoon version, then later on the live action versions. I love love love love love all of these books.

I loved the books as a kid, but the first cartoon version scared the hooey out of me. Of course, I saw it in the theater, so that could have been why. (I was very young, but not as young as princess A) The second cartoon version was much more kid friendly in my opinion.

    It’s called 101 Dalmations: The Series and it came out in 2003 straight to video I think. I thought it was less scary, but Princess may not have a problem with the other version. It would be a good way to slowly introduce her to Cruella though.

      I will look into it. Princess A can’t watch stuff on a normal TV for very long. She has a short attention span.
