I can’t believe how close we got!

While in Kansas my mom and sister had the great idea of taking Princess A to see some animals up close and personal. It was amazing. Whenever Princess A got close to an animal she screamed “WOW”.

We even got to feed the giraffes. They had tons of slobber but are still adorable.

Happy Feet

To cap it all of we saw some penguins. Princess A watched Happy Feet in the airport while our plane was delayed so I was happy she got to see some real penguins.

We also fed lemurs, turtles, and bunnies but I was so busy feeding them I didn’t get any pictures :(. But next time I am in Kansas I am definitely going back to see these animals so I will get some more pictures then.

That’s so cool that you get to be that close to some of the animals. We have a giraffe feeding station at one of our zoo’s but they only let you feed it. I don’t think you can get closer than that. The camel ride reminded me of when I was little and I wanted to go on one at the local zoo or somewhere we were at and my dad went with me even though he was scared out of his mind. He hated it, but he always did stuff like that for me. Even if he was afraid or didn’t like it, he was still a trooper.

i am the opposite. I love camel rides ect. I hope Princess A likes them when she is old enough to choose.

    Great pictures! 🙂
I think I would have been afraid to get so close to the animals.

The Giraffe’s were always my favorite, but my son was fascinated by the rhinos on his first visit. She looks like she had such an incredible time!

Princess A was not into the Rhinos because we weren’t allowed to feed them lol

It’s so cool you guys got so close to the animals! At the Louisville Zoo, I think the snakes are the only thing you can touch and I just say no to that. I’m terrified of them! Nick’s fascination with the Rhinos was more about the size I think. The bigger the animal the more fascinated he was.

Amelia likes big animals as long as she can pet them
