Swing Time

Last week my Dad came in town for a day and it was so much fun! We went to Central Park so he could swing with Princess A and Freckles.

Next she started imitating my Dad which was the cutest thing ever!

I was so glad my Dad came to visit and I can’t wait to see him again this summer. I love watching my daughter’s relationship with her grandparents grow because I was very close to my grandparents.

Do you have any fun stories about your grandparents?

That’s so adorable! Especially the one where she imitates your father! And grandparents are such a bless! I had the chance of growing up having one of my grandmother living right behind my house. I remember that when we were little, I would ALWAYS go play at grandma house. If I told my parents that I was going to play outside, it would say i’m going at grandma house! On the side of her house, she had a really big window, so she would sit in her rocking chair by it, looking over me while knitting. That’s the image I have of my grandma when I think about her now….

My Granny was so special to me. It will be one year this Friday since she passed away, I still miss her everyday. I have so many memories of her. I used to go and spend half of my summer with her just because I loved to be with her. She would take us to this amusement park near where she lived (Boblo Island) and she would go on all the big roller coasters with us. She was always laughing and joking. She taught us all about the value of family. She had 7 children, 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and never missed a birthday or special event for any of them. I went to university near where she lived and she and my Grandpa would pick me up every other weekend to come spend it with them and get a good home cooked meal. She would send me back to the dorm with all kinds of baking on Monday morning. There would be people showing up at my door to see what she sent. She was an amazing cook!
I love the pictures of Princess A with your dad. I love how she copies him. I am sure the time she spends with him will be very special to her!

Your Grandma sounds awesome. Especially because she was able to keep up with so many grandkids 🙂
