I wish we got to walk this calmly all the time. But unfortunately it usually looks more like this…
Mommy and Baby
Here I am stopping Princess A from running down the stairs.
Here we are taking a break and getting kisses from Freckles and then…
We are off to the races again.
And we're off
Saved! I don’t care how cute you are Princess A… No Stairs for you!
No means No
Here’s Freckles doing what he does best… making a difficult situation harder. The Husband used to play tug of war with Freckles and his leash when he was a puppy. That’s when he was only 3 pounds and we thought he would grow to be only 12 pounds. We were afraid he would be a shy dog so we stupidly encouraged his wild side. Now he is 35 pounds and not shy at all and a cute handful.
Here we are calm and safe again. I wish it was always like this but for me motherhood is more like an obstacle course marathon. When Princess A is well, I am sick. When Freckles is behaving, Princess A is playing with the electrical cords. When I am exhausted and want to nap Princess A refuses to nap and Freckles wants to play fetch. It is really hard to keep up. The only thing I can say is at least it’s never boring.
Hold onto my Hand
Any tips for getting through the marathon obstacle course that is motherhood?
